Luxury safari in Southern Tanzania, bare-foot luxury in Pemba

Days 1-3: Tanzania South Coast

For the first three days, you will go just south of Dar-es-Salaam, in a haven of peace, on the Indian Ocean, at Ras Kutani.

The beach is totally deserted and in this beautiful place, you will have time to land in Africa, and unwind, leaving behing you the stress of daily life.

Ras Kutani is known for its discreet and perfect service, lodging in luxurious bungalows, with view on the Indian Ocean. Here you can swim at any time of the day, and relax, relax, relax...

Days 4-6: Selous Game Reserve

After relaxing, you will fly to Selous Game Reserve, south-west of Dar-es-Salaam, a park still little visited compared to the northern circuit.

Sand Rivers Selous is situated on the Rufiji River, far away from all other camps of this park.

Lodging is in luxury tents on wooden platforms, by the river. Service is first class et you surely won't miss anything here! After a day of safari, you can have a sunset drink to the funny sounds of hippos in the river..

The particularity of this park, and camp, is that you can do jeep safaris, boat safaris on the river, walking safaris, and even spend a night fly camping under the stars, with all the service!

Magical Africa...

Here, you will see few cars, even in high season, and still all animals of Africa!

Days 7-9: Ruaha National Park

After flying in, you will stay at Jongomero Safari Camp, along Jongomero's seasonal river, in a very little visited part of the park.

With its eight tents, all facing the sand river, you will have a true experience of Africa, with all the privacy you need, in a luxurious environment, attention to details, and a discreet, but perfect service.

Here as well, you will see all animals and fantastic scenes, with no cars, and excellent guides. Safari at dawn and at dusk, as well as walking safaris and fly camping are possible.

Days 10-13: Pemba Island

Fly to Pemba, Zanzibar's sister island, and much less visited, and take a boat to Fundu Lagoon.

This hotel situated in an isolated bay, on a hill, was built with taste and has faultless service. This is Robinson's luxury!

From here, you can go to Misali Island to swim and dive (unfortunately, the beach in front of the hotel is not of white sand, due to the mangrove and tides). Diving is famous in Pemba, because of its steep walls and currents, as well as the stunning corals. A night dive is a must, with the most amazing creatures appearing in the beam of your torch...

You can have a sunset cruise in a dhow, eat on the beach by candle light, and get a wonderful massage!

You can also go fishing in the famous Pemba Channel!

Days 14-15: Zanzibar

At the end of your trip, you will have two days in Zanzibar, to visit Stonetown, World Heritage Site, known for its ancient Arabian-style coral stone houses, its winding narrow streets and its importance in the history of slavery, as well as the ending of it.

You will stay in Jafferji House, a newly renovated Arabian house, belonging to the most famous photographer of Tanzania, richly decorated, and with a lot of history. Luxury and tradition meet for a fantastic experience!

Day 16: Kwa heri na karibu tena! Good-bye and welcome again!
